Finally got to try this place after hearing about it for so long! A hole in the wall type of place serving Taiwanese food. I ordered the popular braised mince pork with rice and the cuttlefish soup set for a total of $18, which was a really good deal. I had high expectations for the braised mince pork rice as I heard a lot of people like it - it was tasty, though it’s very similar to the caramelised braised pork my mum usually cooks, but hers has a lot more meat! This only had tiny pieces of pork in it, and there weren’t even a lot of them. The cuttlefish soup was nice and hearty. Overall for 18 I can’t complain.

Came to try the Lou roh fan, the L special is very generous, the food was really good, the space is tight and it's hard with kids unless they are older. Unfortunately my toddler had a reaction and was sick, thankfully the staff were super understanding and helpful, definitely want to come back

Visited Cho Dumpling King with my family during lunch time as my dad is craving for taiwan braised pork rice😁 vegan friendly, cozy vibe and friendly service crew. Various choices of food available. Would recommend to try their hot and pepper soup during this cold weather😍 also the braised pork rice combo is recommended too since it is quite “pocket friendly”😄 do drop by this place if you are craving for some authentic taiwan food. They do serve boba milk tea too! A plus point if you in need a cup of boba tea to please your girlfriend😆

Cho Dumpling King serves Taiwanese cuisines, and more importantly, it DOES NOT serve dumplings like the name suggested. You can get set menu for under $20, which is reasonable. Food is delicious and simple - Braised pork rice, Taiwanese sausages, Taiwanese pork balls soup, Braised pork belly, Pearl milk tea etc. Go for their food and not their service. Service definitely is not their strong point.

Cho Dumpling but doesn’t have dumpling in the menu 🤣 but its ok.. this place always makes me miss Sydney. Always love the food and a-lot of options to choose from and most important is cheap and decent amount of food

Cho Dumpling King, despite its name, doesn’t serve any dumplings. It is a tiny Taiwanese restaurant in Sydney CBD, that offers affordable and delicious food. The food was simple and it tasted like Mum’s home-cook meal. We ordered lu rou fan, fried sausage, noodles with ground pork and cucumber, and fried chicken. The cold dishes seem very popular, I’ll try them on my next visit.

Legendary old Taiwanese cuisine near Market City Don’t let the name fool you, they don’t serve the dumpling, mostly people will order their famous deep-fried pork or chicken (the best) My favorite set is Braised Pork Rice with Deep Fried Pork + add $2 more to get Wintermelon tea with Ice. They open from a long time ago it’s been my wife's favorite food when always back to Sydney, all the server is Chinese so don’t worry if you’re Chinese and can’t speak English
